Example replacement budgets
A starting point for planning, not a recommendation for your home’s equipment size.
Goodman complete-system examples use 60,000 BTU/h input upflow furnaces with 1.5–3-ton AC, or 80,000 BTU/h input upflow furnaces with 3.5–4-ton AC. Your home may need different equipment, and its price may be higher or lower.
AC and complete-system figures are illustrative equipment-package budgets. They do not promise a certified match or a particular efficiency rating; equipment and installation details are confirmed at your visit.
Enter a home size from 300–4,000 sq ft or select a known AC size to see an illustrative total. Larger or unusual systems need a personal evaluation.

Budget assumptions- Equipment, standard installation labor and materials, and permit
- Standard-access installation; attic or crawlspace adds $640 once per job
- Furnace condensate pump not included; add $550 only if needed, including outlet/GFCI work
- $750 AC electrical allowance
- Complete-system budgets already reflect shared installation labor and one permit; no separate replacement discount is subtracted
Final capacity, compatibility, access, ductwork, venting, electrical scope and extra work must be checked in person. No equipment is selected from square footage alone. Manufacturer availability and the written proposal determine the final system and price.
What changes between options?
Compare three Goodman high-efficiency furnace options: single-stage, two-stage and modulating. The right choice depends on your home and installation.
StandardGoodman single-stage
One heating stage with a multi-speed ECM blower. Condensing equipment requires suitable venting and condensate drainage.
PreferredGoodman two-stage
Two heating stages. The example range compares a multi-speed ECM blower with a variable-speed blower package.
PremiumGoodman 97% modulating
Modulating heat and a variable-speed blower can adjust output more gradually. Final controls and compatibility are confirmed at your visit.
Air conditioning: The AC figure is an illustrative Goodman central cooling budget, not a certified equipment match. The specific model, refrigerant, efficiency rating and indoor coil are confirmed with the final selection.
High-efficiency Goodman AFUE ratings vary by model. The example prices compare specific packages; they are not a guarantee that one option is the best fit for every home.
